David E. Clemmer is Distinguished Professor and Robert & Marjorie Mann Chair of Chemistry at Indiana University. He is an internationally recognized analytical chemist and a pioneer in ion mobility–mass spectrometry (IM–MS). He received his B.S. in chemistry from Adams State College in 1987 and his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Utah in 1992, followed by postdoctoral research in Japan and at Northwestern University. His work has helped transform ion mobility into a broadly used analytical technology, with major contributions to nested IM–TOF MS, biomolecular structure analysis, protein folding, protein complexes, and complex biological systems. He has published about 300 peer-reviewed papers, trained numerous students and postdoctoral fellows, and is a Fellow of AAAS, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the National Academy of Inventors.
讲座内容简介:
离子淌度-质谱(IM-MS)已成为解析生物大分子构象和复杂样品异质性的关键技术,但在分辨率、通量、灵敏度及超大质量分析范围上仍面临持续挑战。本报告将系统介绍印第安纳大学在高清晰度质谱方面的最新进展,重点包括更高离子淌度分辨率的实现、分析通量与结构解析能力的提升,以及离子淌度技术向更大质量范围拓展的技术路线。报告还将展示如何利用高分辨离子淌度捕获并表征喷雾快速冷却过程中保留的溶液构象,解析生物分子的温度与溶液组成依赖性构象分布,并结合超大质量分析平台探讨其在蛋白质、纳米颗粒及复杂生物体系研究中的应用前景。
